The Future City Comes Alive as the nation's largest art, light and projection mapping event.
Early in 2015, Tim Maloney of the Carol Anne and Ralph V. Hail Jr. Foundation asked if we had anything in mind as a follow up to our wildly successful Lumenocity series of events. Boy did we. Knowing that Music Hall would be undergoing renovations and that a 4th iteration of Lumenocity would not be possible in Washington Park again for at least 2 years we suggested we apply this technique of architectural projection mapping throughout our beloved city of Cincinnati in one massive celebration of art.
At the same time, our friends at Agar were conceiving of a program to bring world renowned street art muralists to the Findlay Market Neighborhood of Cincinnati. Tim combined our events and suggested we bring in Tamara Harkavy of Artworks to round out our leadership team. From that moment, Blink was born, and for the next 2 years we travelled the globe studying similar events and how their host cities made them work.
The first iteration of Blink happened in 2017 and became the region’s largest ever event. In 2019 the second iteration of Blink broke that record again attracting nearly 1.5 million people.
